KASTAMONU Allocated RUB 19.5 Million for Recycling
Over the period from January to May 2018, KASTAMONU allocated RUB 19.5 million for environmental protection. Following the results of 5 months, 32 measures were implemented to protect air, water, soil and land resources, as well as to protect environment from production and consumption wastes.
As early as during the construction of the enterprise, an overriding decision to use the world's leading practices for minimizing the impact on the environment was taken. The entire technological process at the plant is built in such a way as to ensure the most wasteless production and fully utilize raw materials coming to the plant.
"The task of our environmental policy is to ensure environmental safety by minimizing the negative impact on the environment," said Ali Kılıç, General Director of KASTAMONU in Russia. "We installed a new generation of wastewater treatment facilities ensuring a closed cycle of technical water rotation at the enterprise. We use recycling to the maximum - only for the first 5 months of 2018 more than 150 tons of waste in the form of cardboard, plastic and other materials was sent for recycling. All these events form a certain ecological culture, as well as develop ideas for resource conservation and respect towards the environment."
Let us recall that KASTAMONU has successfully passed a certification audit of environmental management systems for the compliance with requirements of ISO 14001:2015. The ISO 14001 standard is responsible for the establishment of environmental management at the enterprise. Its essence is reduced to minimizing the negative impact on the environment and following the latest international environmental standards.
