KASTAMONU Received Positive Effect from Waste Recycling
In 2017, KASTAMONU transferred over 350 tons of polyethylene and plastic waste, scrap of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as paper and cardboard for recycling. The economic benefit from the transfer of secondary resources exceeded 2.5 million rubles.
"In our production activities, we are trying to make maximum use of recycling, that’s why we send hundreds of tons of cardboard, plastic and other secondary waste to recycling," said Ali Kılıç, General Director of KASTAMONU in Russia. "To implement this strategy, the company has created all necessary conditions, including separate waste collection. We are also constantly working towards the popularization of advanced environmental standards among the staff, and actively participate in such ecological projects of WWF Russia as the "Day of Environmental Debt" and "Earth Hour". All these events form a certain ecological culture, as well as develop ideas for resource conservation and respect for the natural environment."
Let's recall that in 2017 KASTAMONU successfully confirmed the certification audit of environmental management systems for the compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001: 2015. The ISO 14001 standard is responsible for the creation of environmental management at the enterprise. Its goal is to minimize the negative impact on the environment and follow the latest international environmental standards.
