KNRTU Has Trained Masters of Sciences for KASTAMONU
Since 2016 KASTAMONU has been providing free second higher education to its employees. Yet another group of the company’s specialists had finished the Methods and Technology of Wood Boards and Polywood Composites Production education program and successfully defended their Master’s theses. The training took place at the Kazan National Research Technological University (KNRTU).
For two years of study for the Master’s degree the students – KASTAMONU employees - led by experienced KNRTU teachers, fulfilled practical tasks and laboratory works, learned computer modeling, studied different technological processes, perfected their technical English and acquired knowledge on project management.

The condition for admission to the university is a successfully passed exam in the form of an interview. The schedule of the education and examination sessions is developed in a way that is convenient for students: all sessions take place on official holidays and weekends, which minimizes their impact on labour activity.
KASTAMONU was established in 1969 as a part of the HAYAT holding. The company specializes in the manufacturing of MDF wood boards, particleboards, laminate flooring, door skin panels, and glossy panels. The consolidated turnover of the company amounts to $1.3 billion. The annual production of wood boards is 5 million m3, laminate flooring – 70 million m2. KASTAMONU has 19 plants in 7 countries. It enters the top five largest companies in the wood processing industry in Europe.
