Within the framework of the Business Partners of Tatarstan Forum, the Alabuga SEZ hosted a visit of 150 Tatar businessmen from the regions of Russia and foreign countries. During the visit to the special economic zone, the businessmen visited the KASTAMONU plant, where they could see the work of foreign investments in the Republic of Tatarstan.

"Today, KASTAMONU makes a significant contribution to the development of the MDF and laminate flooring market not only in Russia, but also in the neighbouring countries," said Ali Kılıç, General Director of KASTAMONU in Russia. "The designed capacities for the production of MDF boards reach 1 million m3 per year, and laminate (based on HDF boards) - 35 million m² per year. The existence of privileges and preferences, provided for the residents by the special economic zone, was one of the main reasons for KASTAMONU to decide on investing in the construction of the plant here. Over the years, we have seen that all obligations are being fulfilled. In addition, Alabuga has a good transport and engineering infrastructure, which, of course, facilitates the formation and development of new industries."

The Business Partners Forum has been held since 2004 with the aim of consolidating and coordinating the activities of Tatar businessmen in the regions of the Russian Federation and abroad. In 2009, the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars and Tatar Businessmen of Russia and Foreign Countries initiated the creation of the World Association of Assistance to Tatar Businessmen. One of the main directions of this Association became the improvement of partnership activities of state, public structures and business communities of the regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries.
