Kastamonu supplied 1 million m 2 of laminate for the renovation program in Moscow

Kastamonu, which is the leading manufacturer of the Russian wood processing industry, has produced more than 1 million square meters of laminate flooring for the houses built under the renovation program in Moscow. The supplies were made under a contract with the PIK Group of Companies, one of the largest developers of the project.

The finishing materials for the apartments built under the renovation program in Moscow were produced at the Kastamonu plant located in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Republic of Tatarstan. The basis of supplies was laminate of the 32nd wear-resistance class, which fully meets all necessary requirements and standards for use in residential areas. In total, in 2019 and 2020, the company produced more than 1 million m2 of laminate, which was used by the PIK Group of Companies in the construction of houses. The PIK Group of Companies is one of the largest developers under the renovation program in Moscow: in 2018, the company received 42% of all state contracts for the project.

The range of laminate supplied by Kastamonu for the renovation program is characterized by environmental friendliness, high resistance to mechanical impact, including scratches, stains, and UV rays. The products also have confirmed certificates for hygiene and compliance with formaldehyde emission standards. The company conducts quarterly international audits to ensure that its products meet these and many other environmental and quality standards.

In Russia, Kastamonu maintains broad cooperation with major developers, federal and regional retail chains, and non-network distributors.

The housing renovation program in Moscow was approved on June 1, 2017 and provides for the resettlement of more than 350,000 apartments. Following the results of voting by residents of the capital, 5,174 houses were included in the program. To date, the address list of 472 launch sites with the potential to build more than 7 million square meters of real estate has been approved. Currently, 261 renovation houses are being designed and built in Moscow.
