Kastamonu has successfully passed the forest certificationMedia
Kastamonu, which is Russia's No. 1 manufacturer of laminate and MDF, has received a supply chain certificate according to the Forest Standard system.
The Forest Standard system is a system of voluntary certification of forest management and the supply chain of forest products from the forest site to the places of further processing and sale. All forest components that have a functional purpose, according to the certification, must meet the requirements of supply chain control.
Kastamonu can guarantee that the timber and forest products purchased, labelled and sold by it as certified under the Forest Standard scheme originate from responsibly managed forests, controlled sources, secondary materials or a combination of the above, as well as that all relevant statements are legal and true. The system of voluntary forest certification Forest Standard monitors the integrity of supply chains from responsibly managed forests in Russia, is based on internationally recognized requirements and the best accumulated national practices. It also contributes to the fight against the climate change.
“Kastamonu regularly confirms its compliance with state standards, strives to participate in environmental and ecology projects. This successful certification once again confirms that we are an environmentally responsible company and adhere to the high standards of forest management of the country. The Forest Standard is a great opportunity to confirm our practical commitment to the values of sustainable development,” said Ali Kılıç, CEO of Kastamonu Russia.
The certificate of the supply chain according to the Forest Standard system No. FE-FC-COC-00021 issued to Kastamonu is valid for all lines of Kastamonu laminate floorings and wood boards.
