Kastamonu sent about 300 tons of waste for recycling in 2019Media
The economic benefit of secondary resources amounted to 2.489 million rubles 286 tons of polythene and plastic waste, paper and cardboard, ferrous and non-ferrous metal scrap were sent for recycling to specialized organizations. In addition, 134.5 thousand tons of wood waste were disposed directly at the Kastamonu plant. The resulting energy was used in production processes of the enterprise.
Sending for recycling and unassisted waste disposal is one of the components of the comprehensive environmental policy of Kastamonu, implemented at the enterprise from the moment of opening. The plant is equipped with a modern and efficient recycling system that allows processing some of the wood waste on the site and direct the resulting energy to production processes.
"As early as at the stage of construction of the plant, it was decided to use the world's leading achievements in minimizing the impact of the enterprise on the environment. The entire technological process is built in such a way as to ensure the maximum waste-free production and fully use the raw materials coming to the plant," said Ali Kılıç, CEO of Kastamonu Russia.
Kastamonu was established in 1969 as a part of the HAYAT holding. The company specializes in the manufacturing of MDF wood boards, particleboards, laminate flooring, door skin panels, and glossy panels. The consolidated turnover of the company amounts to €1.3 billion. The annual production of wood boards is 5 million m 3 , laminate flooring – 70 million m 2 .
